Do I need a subscription for a Ring or Blink doorbell?
Not to use it — live view, two-way talk and real-time alerts all work without one. A subscription is only needed for saved video history: Ring and Blink each offer optional low-cost plans, and with Blink you can add local storage to avoid a subscription. Any plan is paid to the provider, not to us — we'll explain the options.
Can you install a battery or a hardwired doorbell?
Both. We can hardwire to your existing doorbell wiring and transformer, or fit a battery model where wiring isn't practical — we'll advise which suits your door.
Will it work with my existing chime?
We check your existing chime and transformer are compatible before fitting. If they're not, we can supply a compatible chime or set it up to alert your phone instead.
Do I need good WiFi at the front door?
Yes — video doorbells need a solid WiFi signal at the door to work well. We check the signal during the visit and can advise on a booster if it's weak.
Which is better, Ring or Blink?
It depends on your budget and setup. Ring has a wider range and more smart-home features; Blink is more budget-friendly and can store clips locally. We fit both, plus other brands, and give you an honest steer.
Can you fit a video doorbell for a business?
Yes — we install video doorbells at business premises as well as homes, and can tie them in with your CCTV.
Can it work with my CCTV or alarm?

How long does installation take?
